IndustriesOnline Channels
Industry
Reporting for online channels.
Brands and sellers trading across marketplaces and quick-commerce platforms at once — where every platform issues its own purchase orders, fills them partially, reports offtake in its own format, and none of it adds up to one number until somebody makes it.
E-commerce
Marketplace order, settlement and returns exports.
Quick commerce
Dark-store PO, fill-rate and offtake exports.
The workflow
Why this gets hard to report on.
- Each platform raises its own purchase orders, on its own cycle, in its own format.
- It then fills part of the order — and the gap between what was ordered and what was taken is where the lost revenue sits.
- Offtake comes back separately, days or weeks later, and is rarely joined to the PO that produced it.
- Quick commerce adds a second axis: the same SKU is stocked per dark store, so a national fill rate hides a city that never received the order.
- The result is a brand that knows its numbers one platform at a time, and cannot state a combined offtake or a true fill rate without a week of manual work.
Reports this sector usually needs
- Purchase order report, platform by platform
- PO fill rate, tracked by platform, SKU and week
- Offtake (sell-out) report — what actually reached shoppers
- SKU-level sales read against PO fill rate
- Brand-wise sales, every platform combined
- Combined offtake across all platforms, one number
- Sell-in versus sell-out, reconciled
- Stock cover and days of inventory by platform and dark store
- Availability and out-of-stock tracking by listing
- Returns, RTO, claims and deductions by platform
- Ad spend against attributed sales, by platform
Where the data usually comes from
- Purchase orders and PO acknowledgements from each platform
- Fill-rate, ASN and appointment reports
- Offtake and sell-out reports, platform by platform
- Inventory and dark-store stock reports
- Returns, RTO, claims and settlement statements
- Advertising spend exports
Honest limits
What this sector makes hard.
Every one of these is a place where a report can be confidently wrong. We would rather name them here than discover them with you at handover.
- We build reports from the exports you already receive. We are not a partner, reseller or integration for any platform named here, and we do not have API access to any of them — everything starts from a file you can download.
- Platform export formats change without notice, and quick-commerce portals change most often. Anything built on them needs a check each period, which is why we prove a refresh against two periods before handover.
- Offtake definitions are not consistent across platforms — some report units, some report value, some net returns and some do not. We state the definition used on the report rather than silently blending them.
- Claims and deductions usually arrive at settlement rather than at order level, so joining them back to a PO is an assumption we will state rather than hide.
- Advertising attribution is a model, not a fact. We show what the data supports and where it stops.
