Managed Reporting & Refresh

We run the reporting cycle, you read the output.

Who this is for. Teams with a reporting pack that works and no one with the time to run it every period.

The problem

What usually brings people here.

  • The system was built but the refresh keeps slipping.
  • The one person who ran it has left, or is on leave every month end.
  • Reports arrive late enough that the decision has already been made.

What we need from you

  • The reporting pack, built by us or by you
  • A data drop on an agreed day, in an agreed format
  • One named contact who can answer a query inside the cycle

What you get back

  • The refreshed pack, delivered on the agreed date
  • A QA note: what was checked and anything that looked wrong
  • An issue log carried period to period

How it runs

The work, step by step.

  1. You drop the data by the agreed cut-off.
  2. We refresh and run the QA checks.
  3. We flag anything anomalous before delivery, not after.
  4. You receive the pack on the agreed date.

On top of this sits the five-stage engagement process that every project follows — including what usually goes wrong at each stage.

The boundary

Included, and not included.

Both lists are published at the same weight, deliberately. A boundary you discover during delivery is a boundary you were not told about.

Included

  • Scheduled refresh on an agreed cadence
  • Reconciliation and QA checks each cycle
  • A defined number of small changes per period
  • A named escalation route

Not included

  • Unlimited change requests. A defined allowance is included; larger changes are quoted separately.
  • Fixing source data that arrives broken — we flag it and pause, rather than guess
  • Cover outside the agreed support hours
When we would tell you not to buy this.
  • Your cut-off cannot be held. A cadence that slips every period costs more to manage than it saves.

Packages

How this is usually bought.

Managed Refresh

A reporting pack that works, and nobody with time to run it.

We run the cycle — intake, refresh, QA, delivery — on a fixed cadence.

Included

  • The refreshed pack on the agreed date, every period
  • A QA note recording what was checked
  • An issue log carried period to period
  • A named escalation route

Not included

  • Unlimited change requests — a defined allowance is included, larger changes are quoted
  • Fixing source data that arrives broken; we flag it and pause rather than guess
  • Cover outside agreed support hours
Revisions
A defined number of small changes per period, agreed at the start of the engagement.
Timeline assumes
Assumes the cut-off is held. A cadence that slips every period costs more to manage than it saves, and we will say so rather than absorb it.

FAQs

Managed Reporting & Refresh — the questions we get asked.

Answers here match the full FAQ page; this is the subset relevant to this service.

Can you work with sensitive or confidential data, and is an NDA available?

Yes to both. We will sign your NDA — we do not currently offer a template of our own, so yours governs. For anything sensitive, tell us before you send it and we will agree how it gets transferred. Where the analysis does not need identifying fields, we would rather you remove them than trust us with them. We do not publish client data or screenshots without written permission, and we do not claim encryption, ISO, SOC 2 or HIPAA controls, because we have not implemented them.

Why is there no file upload on your quote form?

Because we have not built file storage we are willing to make promises about. Until we have, a share link you control — Google Drive, OneDrive, WeTransfer — is safer for you than an upload box on a marketing site: you can see who opened it and you can revoke it. Ask us on the form and we will send an address to share with.

Will the report refresh when new data arrives?

Only if it was scoped to. A one-time report answers a question at a point in time; a refreshable one needs the source to arrive in a consistent shape each period, and it is built differently. Tell us at the scoping stage which you want — converting the first into the second afterwards costs more than building the second outright.

Need someone to run your reporting cycle?

Send one representative sample — the messy one, not the tidy one — and you will get a scoped quote with the exclusions written in.
