This page covers two different things, and the second matters more than the first: what this website collects, and what happens to the business data you share with us during a project.
What this website collects
Only what you type into the quote form: your name, work email, and whichever optional fields you choose to fill — phone or WhatsApp number, business name, industry, the service you are after, your data volume and format, your deadline, and your message.
Our servers also record the standard technical information every web request carries, including your IP address. It is used to keep the form working and to rate-limit automated abuse, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
There is no file upload on this site
Deliberately. We have not built file storage we are willing to make promises about, and an upload box on a marketing site is the wrong place to put your business data. Share a link you control instead — Google Drive, OneDrive, WeTransfer — or ask us on the form for an address to send to. A link you own is one you can revoke and one whose access you can see.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and work out whether we can help.
- To scope and price the work accurately.
- To keep a record of the conversation while we are working together.
- To protect the form from spam and automated abuse.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising.
Where your enquiry goes
Two places, both ours. It is emailed to the founders through a third-party email delivery provider, so your message passes through that provider in order to be sent. It is also written as a row in a private Google Sheet that only the founders can open, which is how we keep track of which enquiries have been answered.
That sheet is stored in Google Workspace and is subject to Google's own infrastructure and security practices, not ours. It is not shared, not published, and not linked to from anywhere. Nothing you submit is stored in a database on this website itself, and the website has no way to read back what was written.
If you would rather not be recorded in that sheet, email us directly instead of using the form — the address is at the foot of this page — or ask us to delete your row and we will.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and measure which calls to action are used. It is served from this same domain, sets no cookies, and does not build a cross-site profile of visitors. There are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
Your project data
The full handling rules — what to send, what to strip out first, who can see it, how long it is kept and how it gets deleted — are on the Scope, Revisions & File Retention page. In short:
- Send the minimum sample needed, not the full dataset.
- Where the work does not need identifying fields, strip them before sending rather than trusting anyone with them.
- Only the two named founders access your files. No subcontractors are used.
- Working copies are deleted within 30 days of a project closing, or sooner on request.
- Nothing of yours is published without written permission.
How long we keep your enquiry
The email and the spreadsheet row are kept while the enquiry is live, and afterwards as a record of who we have spoken to. If an enquiry does not turn into work, we remove the row and the email within twelve months. Ask us sooner and we will do it sooner.
What we do not claim
We do not claim encryption at rest, ISO certification, SOC 2, HIPAA compliance, or managed secure file transfer. None of those is implemented, so claiming any of them would be false. If your organisation requires them, tell us early and we will say plainly whether we are a fit.
If something goes wrong
If we become aware that data you shared with us has been exposed, we will tell you directly and promptly, with what we know and what we are doing about it. We would rather report an incident we are unsure about than sit on one.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — including mid-project. Write to makemymisreport@gmail.com and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes in substance, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
